...Unit 2 P3+M1 – Describe and explain the main physical and technological resources required in the operation of a selected organisation The business which I am going to choose is Tesco. Physical resources are resources that are available to business organisations in the form of buildings and other machineries needed for the day to day running of the organisation Building and facilities; * all businesses need premises which they operate from, this can range from someone’s front room, or tower blocks all over the world, buildings play an important role in the image of a business and can influence different types of customers, many financial places such as Lloyds TSB and HSBC have very famous buildings as their headquarters and are still located in central London near the stock exchange so that they can maintain links with clients in person as well as online * for some businesses, the attractiveness of the building is not important as the inside because customers are never expected to see the building itself or expected to see what goes on there, for example Tesco will have huge warehouses in industrial estates which do not necessarily look good but are well organised on the inside. * the location of the building is important when a business considers its distribution network, if a business locates nearer to a place which is very accessible to as many customers as possible, its profits will increase, for example Tesco PLC locating in central Europe as they trade......

...Antonio Wilson Unit 2 Assignment MT140: Introduction to Management Kaplan University In this paper and assignment the four contemporary approaches to management will be explained. And the definition of open systems and the outline of internal, competitive, and macro environments of an organization. The contemporary approaches to management are sociotechnical system theory, quantitative management, organizational behavior, and systems theory. Sociotechnical system theory is a theory of management that believes technology merely constrains human action instead of rigidly determining behavioral outcomes. This can build good human relations into the technology workflow. Quantitative management relies on solely technology. The quantitative management approach involves the use of math modeling to find the right solutions to problems. Applied to workplace challenges, going from making decisions during product development to fix employee conflicts. Organizational behavior is like sociotechnical system theory when the focus is on people rather than technology. Organizational behavior is the study and knowledge of how people act in organizations. The goal is to build better relationships by achieving human objectives, organizational objectives, and social objectives. Similar the system theory does not look at individuals but the flow of business as a whole. It focuses on subdivisions within the organization and how it ties in with the big picture, the business. An......

...Unit 2 Assignment 1 Blank Answer Sheet Name: Date: Electronics ET2530 Chapter 2 (pp. 111-113) 2. A 1500 kHz carrier and a 2 kHz intelligence signal are combined in a non-linear device. List all the frequency components produced. - 1498, 1500, and 1520KHz 3.If a carrier is amplitude modulated what causes the sideband frequencies? - The non-linear mixing of the carrier and intelligence frequencies.
4.What determines the bandwidth of emission for an AM transmission? - It is twice the frequency of the highest audio frequency transmitted. The upper sideband is fc +FM where fc is the carrier frequency and FM is the modulation (audio) frequency .The lower sideband is fc – FM. The total bandwidth is 2*FM 5.Explain the difference between a sideband and a side frequency. - A sideband carries the modulation or "information". in old fashioned AM and FM transmission schemes, a carrier is broadcast in addition to the sideband(s). Only the sideband is needed to communicate. A spurious frequency that happens when a carrier is transmitted has no added "information" and just adds to the transmission bandwidth. Sometimes these occur by intermixing within the transmitter. a common example is CB splatter from overdrive of RF amps.
9.Draw a diagram (or indicate which text book Figure # shows this) of a carrier wave envelope when modulated by 50% by a sinusoidal wave. Indicate on the diagram the dimension from which the percentage of modulation is......

...Eboni Clark Unit 2 Individual Project Metaphysics is defined as the study of the true nature of reality. When it comes to considering what is real when referring to metaphysics time has to be one of the biggest factors. This is including everything that we have already experienced, our emotions and ideas, all the way down to our dreams and hallucinations is what we consider to be reality. The physical world and the spiritual world are just as real as one is to the other. For one, they both are considers worlds but are just defined as two different types of world. I do believe that there is such thing as souls and souls surviving with and even without a human body. Life is predetermined already by faith from the time the person is conceived. Little do we realize it but everything is known by prior experiences. The basic knowledge is experience. Everything we know now is here and being taught because someone in the past had to go through the experiences and learn from it and then from there taught what they had learned. The lessons have simply just been passed down over the years. I do believe that with knowledge there is universal truth to it. The relationship between faith and reason go hand and hand. With those two things a person can truly find out the truth. Artificial intelligence can actually teach people a lot about knowledge from what they do know to what they don’t know.......

ASIMO is humanoid robot created to duplicate human motion and genuinely help people. ASIMO took more than two decades of persistent study, research, trial and error before achieving a humanoid robot. ASIMO's design, development and operation rely on many different disciplines including Mathematics, Physics, Anatomy, Engineering and Computer Science. In 1986 Honda engineer’s set out to create a walking humanoid robot early models (E1, E2, and E3) focused on developing legs that could simulate the walk of a human. Models (E4, E5, and E6) focused on developing walk stabilization and climbing stairs. Then the head, arms and body were added to improve balance. Hondas first robot P1 was rather rugged standing at 6’2 and weighing at 386lbs. P2 had a more friendly design. P3 model was more compact standing at 5’2 and weighing 287lbs. ASIMO can run, walk on uneven slopes and surfaces turn smoothly and reach and grab for objects. ASIMO can also comprehend and respond to simple voice commands. It can also recognize the face of a selective group of individuals using camera eyes. It can also map environment and register stationary objects and can avoid moving objects as it moves......

...Unit 3: Health, safety and security in health and social care. This assignment will look at incidents and emergencies that can happen in a health and social care setting. Within my assignment I will be explaining possible priorities and responses when dealing with two incidents or emergencies in a health and social care setting. I will be discussing health, safety or security concerns that may arise from the incident or emergency. Then I will be discussing how I would respond to them. An emergency is defined as “a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.” (Oxford University). An incident is defined as “a relatively insignificant event that might have serious consequences.” (Collins, 2014). Case study 2 Anna is 56 year old woman who lives in a residential care home because she developed early-onset Alzheimer’s a few years ago and her daughter can no longer care for her at home, as her arthritis has also become more severe and she struggles to do basic things by herself now as it can become very painful for her to move at all at a moment’s notice. I am a carer who works at the residential care home that she lives in. A fault with the electrics causes a fire to start in the downstairs of the home. I am upstairs with Anna helping her get changed as she spilt her drink on herself, when we were alerted to the fire. By the time we were alerted to the fire it had already spread throughout the entire downstairs of the home so......

...Todd Unit 2 Sc300 I believe there is a common reason for the absences, this being that the two schools were together two times for band camp. Schools Jackson and Truman both have a band camp and according to the attendance data the two schools showed a spike of absent students on May 20 and the 21st. The students were together on the 15th for planning for the battle of the bands and then again on the 19th for the actual battle. After reviewing the interviews conducted by the heath worker it was brought to my attention that majority of the students were suffering from stomach related illnesses on the 20th and the 21st. The health worker also stated in one of the interviews that it generally takes 3-5 days for symptoms to show up after being exposed to the flu. Also that symptoms of food poisioning usually appears in the next day or two days after eating the contaminated food. So my questions would be: What did the students eat? Where did they eat together? What date did they attend the restaurant? What is the source of the stomach related illness? I would visit the various restaurants in question and take food samples. Also I would have the students examined by a doctor. I would also investigate the activities that took place (eating) during the planning and the battle of the bands. And lastly survey other people (not students) who ate at the restaurants in question to see whether they also became ill. As to......
