Corporate culture is rooted in an organization's goals, strategies, structure, and approaches to labor, customers, investors, and the greater community.
As such, it is an essential component in any business's ultimate success or failure.
Closely related concepts, discussed elsewhere in this volume, are corporate ethics (which formally state the company's values) and corporate image (which is the public perception of the corporate culture).

Corporate Culture it is classified in: Segmentalist Culture and Integrative Culture
Unique Travel Agency works as Segmentalist Culture.
Unique Travel corporate culture it’s a segmentalist culture according to Kanter theory of segmentalist and integrative cultures.
Why we decided that they work as Segmentalist Culture?
For example it says;'' Therefore Peter, Anna and Thomas decided to hold a one day meeting outside the company to discuss the situation.'' in the 'Challenges' part.
Because they also avoids confronting problems like in segmentalist culture's feature.(4th feature of Segmentalist Culture)
Also has week coordination mechanism between departmants. And this one is also feature of Segmentalist Culture.

Divinely Unique

...Divinely unique - Aandaal This being the month of Maargazhi, a post about the unique Azhwar known to the world would be nice. The Azhwar is none other than Aandaal. She is unique in various respects • Of the twelve Azhwars, she is the only female Azhwar • She had an unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu and married him at Srirangam • She started the ritual called the Paavai Nonbu, that is followed to this day. This ritual is followed by girls so that they get a husband of a good character • She is considered to be the incarnate of Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu • The temple for her at Srivilliputur stands as a official symbol in the seal of Government of the Tamil Nadu, as a symbol of the Art and Architecture of the Tamil Civilisation Let us see the life history of Aandaal. She is believed to the incarnate of Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Vishnu. Legend says that Goddess Lakshmi wanted to praise Lord Vishnu, by being the daughter of the famous Azhwar, Vishnu Sitthar famously known as Periazhwar. So she was born and was found as a baby under the Thulasi plant in the temple garden by Periazhwar. From then on Periazhwar considered her to be a gift that Lord Vishnu gave him and doted her a his own daughter. He taught her the all the philosophies and stories he knew about Lord Krishna and also taught her to attain poetic eloquence in the Tamil language. He named her Kodhai meaning Garland.  Kodhai grew up as a kid just thinking......

Travel

...Come along with me on an exciting time traveling journey, on our trip we will go to many far away periods, including the Italian Renaissance, the Early 20th Century and the Indian Civilization. Time travel can be dis-orienting. This is also what it is like to appreciate works of art from different periods. As your tour guide back into time I have prepared this book to prepare you for the tour. The first three chapters of this book, prepares travelers for their journey and will help them remain oriented. The information provided in the first three chapters provide a frame of reference that can reduce the dis-orienting effect of visiting later periods of art history and cultures one may be unfamiliar with. We will ask;" how is the work of art we are observing "attained". Getting a proper orientation of architecture or a visual art is similar to taking a tour of a college campus. When you approach a college campus for the first time there are various buildings on the campus. You will have your first impressions as you approach the campus from a distance and more impressions as you get closer- which changes your perspective. Once one has visited several college campuses one learns how to orient themself. You can quickly find the administration building, library, dorms, etc. To keep one from getting lost in the world of Art developing a frame of reference can reduce culture shock and time disorientation. This book examines three periods and three different types of Art that will......

Unique Names

...discrimination on my different levels will hiders certain people from achieving such dream. Is having a unique name one of the discrimination in society that would cause a person to fall in between the cracks and cause them not to achieve high? In my opinion, I believe the having a name that is very unique causes discrimination that can make it almost impossible for a American lifestyle of the family, white picket fence and a booming career. Today in our world parents choose name that are not traditional names. The younger parents and the more urban parents tend to choose names such as Sadiquah and Tyrek. Beginning from childhood the discrimination comes where people of todays’ society will say that those children come the ghetto. Those children are already put into a category that will already hinder that way they think or grow up. They end up following that path that their name already chooses for them. Some children end up escaping that path that was probably destine for them and grow smart individuals who attended college and give back to the society. However, when it comes to handing in the resume for a job. A source states that job applicants with white names had a 50% chance of getting a callback over those who had African-American names. If that were the case then those resumes end up in the reject pile. Moreover names those are of African-American decent that also very unique probably would get no call back for an interview. I feel that no one should be......

Unique

...Chels Smith Composition & Rhetoric ENGL 1101 I believe I’m Unique I believe in multiplicity. I believe in the uniqueness of the individual. I believe in my strengths, my weaknesses, my flaws, and my abilities. I believe in you, and your fashionable impact on this world. I believe in the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. Because I believe every single person is amazingly and brilliantly beautiful, nevertheless of any normally defining stereotypes of individual physical appearance. For example, I, for one, am a lesbian. That is simply my sexual orientation; it is a part of who I am. It is part of what makes me unique. You are probably asexual, bisexual, gay, lesbian, pansexual, questioning, queer, or straight. I think that each and every one of these “labels” of sexual identity is perfectly tolerable. It is part of what makes you unique. What would be the fun in the world if everyone was the exact same? However, I wish that it was more acceptable to be different from the social norm. People look down upon me, simply because this one trait of mine isn’t the same as theirs. How does that make any sense? Just because maybe my life goals are a little different, and I don’t live up to society’s prejudices, my way of life is unacceptable? I don’t think so. And I don’t think that anyone can tell you that your way of life is wrong either. Each of us creates our own fate out of the certain circumstances that were given to us. I am a sister, a friend, a......

Aadhaar - India's Unique Indetification

...Aadhaar: India’s ‘Unique Identification’ System In our politics, we have yet to tap into our new language of hope. For this to be mirrored in our political institutions it requires us to imagine an India that rests not on the struggles of our past, but on the promise and challenges of the future. It requires us to shape systems and policies that give people the ability to travel in search of work, to educate their children and to tap into economic growth.1 — Nandan Nilekani Nandan Nilekani, chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), sipped his coffee while thinking about how to reply to the journalist badgering him and his core team about UIDAI’s challenges. “Will you actually be able to deliver ‘unique identification’ to every Indian resident?” asked the journalist. It was August 30, 2012, three years after the government of India (GoI) had approved the UIDAI project plan. In that time, UIDAI had chalked up some victories. 190 million people had been enrolled within two years of the initial rollout in September 2010. The Australian and Indonesian governments were studying the UIDAI system to adapt it for themselves. Yet some were skeptical that UIDAI would meet its interim goal to cover 600 million of India’s 1.2 billion residents by 2014, and whether the time, cost, and effort were justified. Nilekani responded, “175 million Indians have received a letter in the post giving them a 12-digit number.” India had the largest number of post......

Audting Case 2 Cardillo Travel Systems

...Zach Johnson Case 2- Cardillo Travel Systems 1.) Russel Smith and Helen Shepard faced ethical dilemmas when dealing with the Cardillo Case because they were being pressured to sign off on the transaction between them and United Airlines that was misrepresented as revenue. The SEC, IRS, stockholders, United Airlines, and financial analysts would have been affected by this misappropriation of revenue. Smith owed the responsibility of good faith to all of these stakeholders because he knew what was right and the company executives pressured him into possibly altering the financial statements in Cardillo’s favor. Shepard had the responsibility to verify that the contractual agreement indeed allowed Cardillo to recognize the revenue in the 2nd quarter, but after further investigation this was not the case. Cardillo executives lied to Shepard which was very unethical, and since she caught this, Cardillo dropped Touche as their audit client. Shepard maintained independence and did what was morally correct and also correct by reporting the disagreement to the SEC. 2.) They should verify that all the numbers in the account match up to what is being portrayed on the financial statements. After that they should check each transaction in the account and question the transaction, which Shepard did correctly. She had suspicion and she took the correct path to determining the proper amount. The auditors should have immediately notified Shepard of any suspicious transactions and......

What is also the same is that both jobs needs to be on time. For a cabin crew member they would need to be on time as they work with the time of the airlines departures. They would need to come earlier as they would need to check if all the equipment is working and bring on board their own bag before the flight starts. As for an event manger they would need to be earlier to event that they have created with the customer. This is because they would need to check over everything making sure any shipping that is made is made on time and make any last minute changes just in case something goes wrong. Like cabin crew member’s event mangers would stay throughout the entire event checking that everything is going smoothly and helping out any on the hire staff if necessary. Differences- Cabin crew’s members always make sure before the plane takes flight they must perform the operational safety, security and health and safety. Explaining to all passengers the rules and regulations to the best of standers. This is a must, while explaining the rule they must demonstrate how to use the equipment. ...chance to buy shares in the company at a 20 percent discount under a share save scheme or through a matching option of one free share for every 10 bought under a share incentive plan (Sip). The travel operator has introduced the all-employee schemes in an effort to retain and motivate its existing staff. Anna Sparkes, HR consultant, policy development at Thomas Cook, said: “The main reasons for the launch were to retain staff and give employees a vested interest in the company on an ongoing basis.” Invitations were sent out to employees on 19 May, options were granted on 16 June, and the first employee payroll deductions for the schemes were made in July. Of Thomas Cook’s 19,000 employees, 14,000 were eligible to take part in either the Sip or the share save scheme. To join, they had to be based in the UK and have worked for the company for at least six months. Almost one-fifth (18.5 percent) of those who are eligible joined one of the schemes or both. Under the share save scheme, employees can save between £5 and £250 a month for a period of three years, at which point they can choose to buy shares at 20 percent below the option price. Under the Sip, employees buy shares each month and then, after five years, have the option of selling the shares tax efficiently. The travel firm communicated the schemes by sending out invitations to all eligible employees and putting up posters around the workplace. The company, which was floated on the London Stock Exchange in......
