Research:
 Knowable

 Researchable

USA World Bank will need to know if their new program they want to launch is possible. They know that these types of ventures can be successful and believe their bank is ready. They will need to know more about their customers to be able to move forward. The research firm, Best Market Research will provide services to provide an organized inquiry to assist them in decisions. The research includes "reporting, descriptive, explanatory, and predictive studies" (Cooper, 2003, pp. 26). (Cooper, 2003, pp. 26).

Levels of Measurement:
• Nominal
• Ordinal
• Interval
• Ratio The nominal data may only be classified but cannot be counted; ordinal data can be ranked and USA World Bank's Bea questioned this data. Whereas Interval data has meaningful difference between values and ratio has a point that can be counted, divided, multiplied are possible. (Lind, et.al., 2004) (Lind, et.al., 2004)
Validity and Reliability

The USA World Bank directors were very cautious with the new Reward Program and Brian had to make sure the data was thoroughly reviewed and asked Mary if the information was reliable and valid. This is because "omission of significant procedural details makes it difficult or impossible to estimate the validity and reliability of the data and justifiably weakens the confidence of the reader in the research itself…"(Cooper, 2003, pp. 16). Research Design

...important research designs used in experimental hypothesis testing research study. Research design is needed because it facilitates the smooth sailing of the various research operations, thereby making research as efficient as possible yielding maximal information with minimal expenditure of effort, time and money. Different research designs can be conveniently described if we categorize them as:(1) Research design in case of exploratory research studies;(2) Research design in case of descriptive and diagnostic research studies, and(3) Research design in case of hypothesis-testing research studies. 1. Research design in case of exploratory research studies Exploratory research studies are also termed as Formulative research studies. The main purpose of such studies is that of formulating a problem for more precise investigation or of developing the working hypotheses from an operational point of view. The major emphasis in such studies is on the discovery of ideas and insights. As such the research design appropriate for such studies must be flexible enough to provide opportunity for considering different aspects of a problem under study. Inbuilt flexibility in research design is needed because the research problem, broadly defined initially, is transformed into one with more precise meaning in exploratory studies, which fact may necessitate changes in the research procedure for gathering relevant data. Generally, the following three methods in the context of......

Consumer taste tests showed the new version was preferred over the old TRIX, but the new version was a failure when it was introduced. It was noted that the research was flawed in that the new version of TRIX was compared with the old TRIX, a choice that consumers in the marketplace would not have. The correct research should have compared the new TRIX with competitor brands. This example was presented in your text to illustrate: a. poor budgeting for research b. how researchers in large firms are in "silos" and are not open to outside suggestions c. how former research studies often determine the design of present studies d. improper research design e. a case where exploratory research should have been undertaken after the causal research Answer: (d) Difficulty: (Moderate) Page: 114 2. Research Statistics

...Statistics is a mathematical concept, its job to organize, analyze, and interpret numbers. Who knew that this concept is a large chunk of a newfound science that is called psychology? Research, Statistics, and Psychology Statistics is a concept that is either loved or dreaded. It is also something that is used in psychology, advertising, and in everyday life. Statistics is used in our everyday thinking process. Observation, guess, observation again in detail, making changes to the situation or process to test that guess is something that every human uses when meeting new people, driving a car, deciding what to buy at the store, etc. Some believe that statistics is a method of finding truth. Psychologists use statistical methods to help find a pattern (if there is one to be found) in the information that they collect doing their research. There are two branches of statistical methods, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics are used to sum up and describe a collection of numbers from one’s research. Inferential statistics are used draw conclusions and make suggestions based numbers from a study. Research is the main ingredient in statistics. Research is occurs when a person goes above and beyond and investigates the material concerning the topic further than one has to. The scientific method is also another part of statistics. The scientific method by definition is “principles and procedures for the......

This design is the foundation of all the stages of research. The two methods used for creating a hypothetical design will be qualitative and quantitative methods. As noted by Cozy and Bates (2012) “ qualitative research focuses on people behaving in a natural setting and describing their world in their own words, while quantitative research tends to focus on specific behaviours that can be easily quantified” (p.114). Both quantitative and qualitative methods will be examined in order to devise a hypothetical design for research. This paper will provide two distinct types of hypothetical models using a quantitative and qualitative method. Qualitative Methods-Hypothetical Design Qualitative research study things in natural settings by making an to making an attempt to interpret a......

...Research objective Our research objective is to find out how the people living in western suburb of Melbourne make their family financial management and take advantage of professional financial suggestions and education for the government by providing accurate and reliable data. Specifically, the purpose is identifying the mortgage and debts situation of these families and their financial planning as well. In this survey our reason is to provide benchmark data for government to get know of people’s financial situation. Method of collecting data Survey technique is the generally used method of collecting data and we highly recommend using it in this family finances research. The most significant advantage is it can be an appropriate way of collecting a great deal of information in a considerably short period of time. We can use multiple choices or one word answers question that will not take much time of respondents so that the survey technique will be able to quickly provide you a lot of information. Furthermore, in survey technique, questionnaire can also be mailed or emailed to individuals to do in their own free time which can be an advantage comparing other two methods. Observation is another useful method to collecting data. It means you do not need to relay on respondents giving you the information and their time. Data can be gained through direct observation. B. Significance 1. It serves as a guide for direction during the actual experimentation. 2. It allows a gain of maximum information relevant to the problem at minimum cost. 3. It makes the statistical test of significance valid because it takes into consideration all the assumptions that went into deriving the various statistics. C. General Features The design of an experiment depends on the type of research undertaken and the nature of the conditions under which study is done. The design of an experiment is dictated by the question it is to answer. There is no common blueprint that will serve as a guide in writing a research design. Each problem requires its own unique design. A research design contains the following sections: I. Introduction A. Background of the Study B. Statement of the Problem C. Significance of the Study D.
