My Last Farewell
Farewell, dear Fatherland, clime of the sun caress'd,
Pearl of the Orient seas, our Eden lost!
Gladly now I go to give thee this faded life's best,
And were it brighter, fresher, or more blest,
Still would I give it thee, nor count the cost.
On the field of battle, 'mid the frenzy of fight,
Others have given their lives, without doubt or heed;
The place matters not--cypress or laurel or lily white,
Scaffold of open plain, combat or martyrdom's plight,
'Tis ever the same, to serve our home and country's need.
I die just when I see the dawn break,
Through the gloom of night, to herald the day;
And if color is lacking my blood thou shalt take,
Pour'd out at need for thy dear sake,
To dye with its crimson the waking ray.
My dreams, when life first opened to me,
My dreams, when the hopes of youth beat high,
Were to see thy lov'd face, O gem of the Orient sea,
From gloom and grief, from care and sorrow free;
No blush on thy brow, no tear in thine eye
Dream of my life, my living and burning desire,
All hail! cries the soul that is now to take flight;
All hail! And sweet it is for thee to expire;
To die for thy sake, that thou mayst aspire;
And sleep in thy bosom eternity's long night.

If over my grave some day thou seest grow,
In the grassy sod, a humble flower,
Draw it to thy lips and kiss my soul so,
While I may feel on my brow in the cold tomb below
The touch of thy tenderness, thy breath's warm power.

Let the moon beam over me soft and serene,
Let the dawn shed over me its radiant flashes,
Let the wind with sad lament over me keen;
And if on my cross a bird should be seen,
Let it trill there its hymn of peace to my ashes.

Let the sun draw the vapors up to the sky,
And heavenward in purity bear my tardy protest;
Let some kind soul o'er my untimely fate sigh,
And in the still evening a prayer be…...

Quality Assurance (QA) This is a process centred approach to ensure that Toyota is providing the best possible products or services. It is related to quality control, which focuses on the end result. Quality assurance focuses on the process to achieve the end result. Toyota uses a system called the QA Network, this acts like a net to catch defects before the end result. Toyota implements a 200% quality check by the production and stores processes even before the vehicle is sent for quality inspection. This ensures that every vehicle is fitted with the correct part in the correct way. Toyota’s QA Network is very effective in achieving a very impressive SDR (straight delivery rate), vehicles with no defects that go straight to the customer and no delays. What Is Qa

...What is Quality Assurance and How Does it Help Your Business? Quality assurance, in its broadest context, is the systematic effort by a business to ensure that its end product satisfies its intended use, meets customers’ expectations, and is produced consistently with zero defects. Of course, how well a business manages a quality assurance program is based on the complexity of the end product, the number of processes required to make the product, and the exactness with which those individual processes are defined and controlled. Quality assurance is not a stand-alone system. It is merely part of an overall quality management system that must include process controls, checks and balances, compliance audits, continuous improvement, training, and employee engagement at every level. This overall process is most-frequently defined as Total Quality Management, which is the umbrella under which all of these other systems reside. Quality management systems are not just limited to “manufactured” products. Total Quality Management concepts can be employed by any business that provides a service or product. In most cases, the product is only one piece of satisfying the customer. To meet consumer expectations, not only does the product have to perform as specified, but it must be backed by a responsive service team, proactive customer support, and conflict resolution services. A manufacturer that makes a product that performs 99.9% of the time as expected will......

...Difference between QA and QC As we've talked in a previous post about the Definition of Quality, with these 2 terms exist the same “issue” where every single person/organization defines Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in a bit different way. Also, many people including HHRR (Human Resources) and quality professionals do not know what QA and QC really means, and what the difference is between both terms. For those reasons, these concepts are often used interchangeably, and in some organizations one department performs the activities of both. The truth is that both terms have strong interdependence; QA relies mostly on the QC feedback and both work to deliver good quality products/services; but they are different processes. Next table shows the differences between them. QA vs. QC Definition from Assurance: The act of giving confidence, the state of being certain or the act of making certain. QA: The planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled. Other definition QA is a failure prevention system that predicts almost everything about product safety, quality standards and legality that could possibly go wrong, and then takes steps to control and prevent flawed products or services from reaching the advanced stages of the supply chain. Definition from Control: An evaluation to indicate needed corrective responses; the act of......

...Hi All, Here is my take on the 3 questions. How do leaders create organizational culture? A person with a vision starts a company for example like google, Facebook, Microsoft, It's usually one guy or 2 guys that have an idea, a vision which they seek with passion in pursue of that vision they grow into an organization by adding people. It’s very important to bring on board people who share the same interests and see that the founder it trying to achieve. Going forward in time, everything needs to evolve with time else it will get outdated, to stay in the competition we need to bring on board new talent new caliber, this will happen when we hire young people with fresh ideas. Everyone starts their carrier from college. When they are just out of college the only thing they think of is how many of our classmates have secured a job and how much are they earning. They do not care about the goals of an organization they are kind of Naive. It’s very important that we nurture them into responsible people who know what they are doing why they are doing and believe in it. The processing of nurturing the new people who came into the organization establishes the culture. People see and follow so a Leader should lead by example and this creates a ripple effect down the pyramid and a culture is born. It’s like one queen bee setup everything and the worker bees do the rest....

...skilled individuals to maintain and ensure all the information is being gathered, analyzed and maintained. This is usually done by QA ( Quality Assurance). The QA (or FOQA) concept is the prevention of occurrence of defects. The principle of prevention is that it is necessary to preclude maintenance failure. This principle extends to safety of personnel, maintenance of equipment, and virtually every aspect of the total maintenance and flight operations. Prevention is about regulating events rather than being r regulated by them.. Flight operations quality assurance (FOQA) is the process of collecting and analyzing data from flights to improve safety and efficiency of flight operations. FOQA is used to reveal operational situations in which risk is increased in order to enable early corrective action before that risk results in an incident or accident Data is retrieved from the flight recorder and categorized. Then, the data is sent to be analyzed. The analysis is usually done by software. After the data analysis is done, the manager will contact the appropriate airline or pilot association and place the necessary corrections in place. Lastly, all the flight operations will be watched to ensure safety protocols are being followed and any discrepancies being reported. For the maintenance department, QA will readily pinpoint problems which managers can use to improve the quality and reliability of the total maintenance, work......
