IGA is U.S. brand of grocery stores that operates in more than 30 countries. Unlike the chain store business model, IGA operates as a franchise through stores that are owned separately from the brand. Many of these stores operate in small town markets and belong to families that manage them. It was founded in the United States as the Independent Grocers Alliance. The headquarters are in Chicago, Illinois.
Recordkeeping system
To determine the recordkeeping we started by listing all the customer´s information and buying history, that have been loyal to our company for many years, or are new to our company but always gave good reviews about us in surveys. Then the new recordkeeping system will send automatically emails thanking about their loyalty and online survey and use this to have their current opinions about the company and also to have their information updated.
Next, we researched each survey looking for comments that can help the company to improve but also to have their personal information in a base data and information also about their favorite products from the IGA store and reward their loyalty by sending them discount cards, gift cards, coupons, etc.
Duration and commencement of the tender:
The Company intends to active this recordkeeping system for a duration of 2 years, including a total or partial purchase option.
The IGA, however, requires an estimate of the total purchase cost, should it decide to have its rental financed by other parties.
Minimum Requirements for taking part in the tender:
To be included in the tender procedure IGA must possess all the following requirements. * Certification of non-impediment to participate in public tenders in compliance with article 38 of Australian Legislative Decree 163. * Must be registered in one of the Commercial…...

Implement Inventory Management System

...of Sale system based on the items barcode number. Also, it is at this time that the stock manager will release the funds and pay the supplier for the received inventory. Next in this process is the actual sale of products to the customers. A given customer will come into the store and make their selections. Once the customer has decided on what products to purchase then a request for sale will be made with the sales clerk. The sales clerk will scan each item's barcode to retrieve the sales data that has been stored into the POS system currently in place. Once the transaction is complete the inventory that was purchased will then be removed from the inventory stored on the POS system. If a customer were to decided that he/she needed to return an item, due to a manufacture's defect, then the item would be returned to the store and a claim would be filed with the sales clerk on duty at Mo's. Essentially what happens here is the sales clerk will load the inventory back into POS system and rescan a replacement item for the customer or return their money. Once the customer has been dealt with, Mo's will file a warranty claim with their supplier. Once the supplier has received all of the appropriate documentation for the warranty claim they will send a replacement item back to Mo's. The replacement inventory will follow through the same procedures described above and be loaded into the POS system as a usual incoming product. How the Unix Permission System Implements Access Control the UNIX permission system implements access control. Describe an extension of this system that permits finer control. Access Control in Unix UNIX has an implementation of access control lists for providing the features of security to its users. Every user has a right to log into the system with his/her credentials (username and password) and initiate a process which can further make system requests. Every process is assigned a unique identifying number called the process “uid”. This number can be obtained from the /etc/password file. A sample record from this file looks like below: “uid” essentially is the user id of the user who started the process. Every process may also carry an “effective uid”, which may or may not be different from its uid. Access control lists are also categorized with the use of group ids or group names. Every process has a list of groups, it is associated with. This is the basic level of authentication implemented in Unix. Since Unix understands everything as a file, it is important to see how security is ensured for files in Unix. There are 12 mode bits which are used to encode the privileges related to protection. Out of these 12 bits, first 9 bits are divided into 3 groups. Each group contains 3 bits describing the permissions related to user (u), group (g) and others (o). If a bit is set to “ON”, the corresponding privilege is enabled (r – read, w – write, x – execute). Extension of Unix security system A finer security......

Bsbmgt616A Develop and Implement Strategic Plans

...DEVELOP & IMPLEMENT STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOP & IMPLEMENT STRATEGIC PLAN Introduction: The purpose of strategic or long-range planning is to assist the Association in establishing priorities and to better serve the needs of the membership. A strategic plan must be flexible and practical and yet serve as a guide to implementing programs, evaluating how these programs are doing, and making adjustments when necessary. A strategic plan must reflect the thoughts, feelings, ideas, and wants of the developers and mold them along with the Association's purpose, mission, and regulations into an integrated document. The development of a plan requires much probing, discussion, and examination of the views of the leaders who are responsible for the plan's preparation. However, more often than not, the development of the plan is less complicated than is the implementation. Implementation, in essence, pulls a plan apart and diffuses it throughout an organization. Every unit within the organization which is involved must then accept the plan, agree to its direction, and implement specific actions. In order to effectively and efficiently implement a plan, all individuals involved in its implementation must function as a whole or the plan is destined for failure. [pic] Part A A DEFINITION OF STRATEGIC PLANNING Strategic planning is a tool for organizing the present on the basis of the projections of the desired future. That......
