Because of: Elderly have got enough time to inform there selves for the big deal flight and they love to travel to America. Both groups tend to be curious and they also want to help.

Also the travel agents are receivers because they must be informed about new deals. They are at the front to get to know this new product to the customers.

Email advantages: It is cheap and indeed very fast. You can inform people by now, that means that they get information about deals which can be just 5 min. old. You can get in contact with each other.

Email disadvantages: Who can make sure that the client will read or even get the message? Who can make sure that the client is using the internet? How can we make sure that the client will get in contact with us? It is a medium which is direct but on the other side it is anonymous.

Homepage advantages: We can provide the receivers with as many information as we want to! We can get in contact with the customer if he likes to fill out the contact formula sheet. He can even phone us direct or can even more book online by clicking through a direct booking sheet. We can show ads at some highly visited pages as aol.com or else.

Homepage disadvantages: Who can make sure that the client will get to our homepage are we on google.com the first entry? Is the majority of people able to use the internet or are they even provided with…...

...storm on the morning of Monday, August 29 in southeast Louisiana. It caused severe destruction along the Gulf coast from central Florida to Texas, much of it due to the storm surge. A primary reason for the great loss of life and property in New Orleans was the failure of the levee system due to the system design flaws and lack of maintenance (Waple 2010). Nearly every levee in New Orleans was breached leading to the flooding of 80% of the city and nearby parishes. The city which was subjected to hours of hurricane condition reported the maximum number of deaths and a great loss of infrastructure including all the major roads. The most significant amount of deaths occurred in New Orleans, Louisiana, which flooded as the levee system catastrophically failed, in many cases hours after the storm had moved inland (Caruso 2005). Eventually 80% of the city and large tracts of neighboring parishes became flooded, and the floodwaters lingered for weeks. However, the worst property damage occurred in coastal areas, such as all Mississippi beachfront towns, which were flooded over 90% in hours, as boats and casino barges rammed buildings, pushing cars and houses inland, with waters reaching 6–12 miles (10–19 km) from the beach. ...Concept Paper: New Orleans Post-Katrina December 8, 2013 New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina Hurricane Katrina, which hit the southeast United States in late August of 2005 was one of the costliest and deadliest hurricanes in United States history. The city of New Orleans was arguably hit the hardest by the hurricane. The objective of this paper is to analyze the link between economic, political, and social conditions in New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina and the conditions in New Orleans post-Katrina. Although natural disasters are an inevitability, the human suffering that citizens faced in New Orleans immediately following Katrina were largely avoidable, the result of a lack of adequate evacuation planning and massive governmental negligence. Furthermore, it was no accident which people suffered the most in the aftermath of Katrina. Financial, political, racial, and social disparities in New Orleans long before Katrina dictated who would be most affected after Katrina, both immediately and years after the hurricane. Rebuilding efforts, just like the evacuation, have tended to favor the rich and White and neglect the poor and Black. Pre-Katrina New Orleans was disproportionately Black and poor relative to the rest of the United States. According to 2000 U.S. Census data, Blacks made up 12.3% of the nation’s population while Whites made up 75.1% of the nation’s population (U.S. Census, 2000b). ...of New Orleans took place January 8, 1815 as the last major battle of the War of 1812. Before any military confrontation occurs an idea is presented; this idea was presented to the British Admiralty by Admiral Sir John Borlase on November 18, 1812. Admiral Borlse's plan was intended to create a diversionary assault on New Orleans to reduce the Americans line on the Canadian Front. Jackson suspected the impending arrival of a large British land-and-sea force, he did not know where on the Gulf Coast it was headed or what its major target would be.1 In the Fall of 1814 Jackson decided to take Spanish Pensacola; the British withdrew from the town instead of facing Jackson's superior force. Prior to leaving the British destroyed the towns fortifications rendering the town useless to Jackson and themselves. It was not until August 1814 that the British government authorized Admiral Borlse's plan. The plan was to capture the mouths of the Mississippi River and the port of New Orleans which was to be executed by Admiral Cochran. This mission was to take place on both land and on the with the rally point being in Jamaica. Admiral Cochran in charge of the naval fleet and Major General Sir Edward Pakenham in charge of the ground forces. ...New Orleans was not prepared at all for really any major hurricane. They had done a practice hurricane the season before hurricane Katrina and it was only a category 3 hurricane. That hurricane did massive amounts of damage and had over 60,000 people dead. The city officials all got together and viewed the information and even discussed it, but never did anything about it. One guy from the video said something on how New Orleans had dodged bullets in previous years on other big hurricanes. If the city knew that, then why wouldn’t they be as prepared as they could be? What really amazed me is that the natural defense that the city had in its wetlands and tree line had been demolished by putting up the levy’s and containing the river that used to flow into them. The local agencies tried to get people to evacuate the city and did have a pretty good early warning system in place, people that stayed I guess just couldn’t get out, or didn’t think that it would be that bad. Engineers to monitor the situation, but they had to rely on local news and weather channels and had no resources of their own to be self sufficient during such a devastating storm. I personally steer clear of the news as it tends to blow matters way out of proportions and with being in the military I rather be briefed on things of national security by my superiors vice the local news that only gets pebbles from the locals. I think that the news can be good at times, but in my experiences it tends to stress society out way more than it needs to be. An example of this is I have been to Bahrain numerous times, and all my mother would see on the television is riots and unruly behavior there. I on the other hand did not watch the news, got the security brief from my superiors and carried on my mission. While I was there it was nothing as what my mother and the news had depicted. Every time I have been there it has been peaceful and the locals have always been so very nice. Audience The intended audience was originally for locals, as it was broadcasted on the local news channels. The written news article I chose was from New York Times. Since the incident occurred in Phoenix, AZ, I purposefully chose the New York Times as it is located across the country. This choice makes for a better comparison of data from across state lines. Credible MSNBC and the New York Times are both credible sources that individuals rely on everyday to hear anything from the weather to local in international news. Although this may be true it is also true that this area is strongly influenced by the refugees of Saint-Domingue during the Haitian Revolution. The Haitian Revolution occurred from 1791-1804, during this period thousands of refugees fled from this Island to other parts of the Caribbean. Eventually, New Orleans became the final stop for many of these refugees. The mayor’s report of January 18, 1810 published in the Moniteur de la Louisiane shows a chart shows the racial movement of 1809 compared to the population of Orleans Parish in 1806 and 1810 by racial caste. This is important because the influx of Haitian refugees further amplified the division of the already existing caste system in New Orleans among slaves, whites, and free persons of color. This account of the refugee’s racial classification was very important during this time because the three main groups had different ranking in the caste systems, yet played pivotal roles in the development of New Orleans. In the CBA, I will be examining the cost of rebuilding New Orleans to pre Katrina conditions without making any additional upgrades to the levees and infrastructure. This will give me a more accurate cost model to base my recommendation on. As for the benefits I will examine the benefits of recovered losses when comparing pre Katrina data to post Katrina dat. The areas where I will be examining are tourism recovered, port operations recovered, wages recovered, spending recovered, and taxes recovered. The future value (FV) of these benefits will then be discounted to present value (PV) and compared to the cost of rebuilding to represent the net present value (NPV) of the expected amount to be gained or lost by carrying out the recovery. If the NPV is less than the cost, then rebuilding New Orleans will yield a loss and my recommendation will not favor a recovery.
