Harmless UV light triggers photocatalyst produces carbon dioxide and moist air.Fan generates breeze, lamp produces spectra which tempts the mosquito and temperature completely imitates the human’s breath. These conditions become to be a bionic trap to attract mosquitos. And the captured mosquitos also send out information to attract other ones. Moreover, photo catalyst can absorb formaldehyde and other toxic gases,is a new generation of environmentally-friendly and efficient mosquito killer.
Ⅱ. Advantages
1.Low Noise: Ultra-quiet fan to minimize the noise .Mosquitoes are attracted to the repository and are air-dried and dehydrated to death. There is no “Pa-pa” sounds like using electroshock mosquitoes catchers, and there is no high voltage, so its very safe and quiet. 2. Purifying air: High concentrations of photocatalyst can absorb more harmful gases.
3. Disinfection:UV light can kill harmful bacteria in the air.
4.Super anti-mosquito effect: Live mosquito which was captured in the mosquitoes storeroom will send out chemical information to attract the same, can continuously capture the surrounding blood-sucking female mosquitoes,To interrupt the mosquito breeding cycle group, completely eliminate mosquitoes.

Mule Killers

...Progress Does Not Always Lead to a Better Life Life, in the primitive sense of the word, means moving through time towards inevitable death. Progression, by definition, means development towards a destination or more advanced state. Life in the emotional aspect explores love, and with love there will always be shortcomings and complexities. Progression, life, destruction, and love are themes in the short story Mule Killers by Lydia Peelle. The short story is a story within a story, and it is first person narration from the point of view of a son retelling the story of his father and his grandfather. The story thereby tells the stories of three different generations of men. The setting is in Nashville Tennessee, the time period is not certain but from the events and descriptions it appears to be during the brink of industrialization. The element of progress in Mule Killers is seen in the family’s life story, the father’s effort to reach adulthood, and - as a parallel story -  industrialization; progress is portrayed not only in the stories of the father and grandfather but also in the depiction of the development of the society. In the very beginning, it is clear that the main character’s father has a hard time time coping with his emotions, particularly his immaturity, and striving to progress to a stable future. In the first paragraph where the author introduces the character, the son’s father, he describes him as: “my father has his father’s height, and he carries......

Zodiac Killer

...Zodiac Killer Saturday, November 12, 2011 Zodiac Killer The Zodiac killer was a serial killer who committed his homicides in Northern California in the late 1960s. His identity was never discovered; he self named himself in a series of letters which were sent to the press in regards to his killings. The letters he sent included multiple cryptographs, some of which remain unsolved. The Zodiac killer murdered victims in the cities of Vallejo, Lake Berryessa, and San Francisco in the years 1968 and 1969. Although there are only seven confirmed victims from his criminal acts, there are thirty seven homicides which the Zodiac killer claimed to have committed. On August 1, 1969, three letters were delivered to the Vallejo Times-Herald, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the San Francisco Examiner. The letters were sent from an unknown individual and unknown address. In the material presented by the letters the writer claimed to have committed the homicide of multiple victims. Each letter also included a piece of a cryptograph which the writer stated that it contained his identity. The writer demanded for the cryptographs to be published on the paper’s front page the next day or he would “cruse all weekend killing lone people in the night then move on to kill again, until I end up with a dozen people over the weekend.” On August 7, 1969, another letter was delivered to the San Francisco Examiner in which the......

Killer Whales

...Savannah 12 November 2013 Is Killer Really the Right Word? “1961 first orca is captured and taken to the Marineland of the Pacific Park in Los Angeles. She dies a day later after repeatedly swimming around her pool at high speed and ramming into the sides” (Smith). Killer whales are a very large and powerful animal like any other wild animal, they can be unpredictable. Killer whales are beautiful creatures. The experience of seeing a killer whale for the first time is breath taking. My grandparents took me to SeaWorld in Orlando was I was 8, and after seeing a killer whale I was hooked. After going back many times it influenced me to want to become a whale trainer. As years have gone on I have learned killer whales in SeaWorld means they are in captivity. Why are these amazing animals spending their whole lives in a small swimming pool? Killer whales have been taken out of their habitats and put into captivity for research to be done on these amazing animals. An associate director of the Environmental Group Earth Island Institute Mark Berman says trying to incarcerate an animal as large as a killer whale or an animal with a large brain it’s proven it does not work (Pete). These killer whales need the freedom to travel wherever they’d like, not to have a routine day after day for the whole lives. The killer whales swimming in pools of aquariums builds frustration and aggression. Lori Marino is a neuroscientists says when whales in captivity are thrown with other whales......

Zodiac Killer

...Deanna Brooks Mr. Ogletree English 1101-10142 March 22, 2012 The Zodiac Killer The Zodiac Killer is as unknown today as he was in the 1970's. It is said that the Zodiac killer is Arthur Allan, though we cannot in any way prove this theory. The zodiac killer was a murderer that seemed to have a serious mental condition, which needed treating, but appears as if he could not control it. The Zodiac killer is a man that committed a series of murders during 1930’s to about the 1970’s. To plainly put it he was a serial killer. Many have wondered if he was locked up in jail somewhere or sitting back waiting to strike again, he would be very old if this was the case. There are many accounts of the murders. Though some people ended up changing their story, or too much happened and they are still in shock so they have trouble remembering, or they could be trying to block the memory. In most of his killings it seems to be the same, a young couple, kills the girl completely, but leaves the guy just, enough to talk to the police then he dies. I think this means he wants someone to still be able to talk about him. There was one account I read about where he did not kill anyone, Butterfield stated that, He writes letters to the police and the have to unscramble it. He seems to put a lot of time into his letters and his killings, in other words a “psycho-path”. The zodiac killer a time seems to have a moment of sanity and some letters had asked for help, but those moments did not...

Serial Killer

...A serial killer is someone who kills at least three victims one by one in a series of sequential murders, with a form of psychological gratification as the primary motive. The need for psychological gratification distinguishes serial killers from other types of murderers, who usually murder for things like profit or revenge. Because an element of psychological instability is involved in serial killing, many serial killers are committed to mental institutions if and when they are caught, reflecting a general belief that they are not of sound mind. While many people think of serial murder as a crime which emerged in the 20th century, it is actually quite ancient. Documents from places like China indicate that serial killers were operating well before the common era, and some particularly notorious serial killers like Erzsebet Bathory and Jack the Ripper date to periods before the 20th century. It is true, however, that the number of serial killings seems to have increased in the 20th century, perhaps due to increased population or social and cultural shifts. As a general rule, someone does not start out life as a serial killer. The progress from ordinary individual to serial killer may begin early in life, but it proceeds in stages, beginning with crimes like arson, progressing to animal abuse, and then moving into the realm of human abuse. The reasons why people develop into serial killers are not known, although many show signs of childhood trauma and......

...The study is entitled Combined solution of Garlic (Allium sativum) and Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus). Specifically, it sought to find out how these two solutions (lemongrass and garlic) can effectively kill mosquitoes. It aimed at looking for an organic and safe measure in treating the abundance of mosquito. Ideally, the researcher’s study promotes a tandem between science and creation’s conservation. The materials composing the solution were 40 mL of the combined solution of Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) and Garlic (Allium sativum). The set up was composed of experimental and control group. The experimental group was being sprayed using a specific commercial pesticide. On the other hand, the control group was being sprayed using the organic mosquito killer. Data were collected to gather relevant information. In the light of the findings of the study, it was found out that the solution composing of 40 mL solution of Garlic (Allium sativum) and Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) extract can kill mosquitoes in a short span of time compared with the commercial one. It took only _________before the mosquitoes died. Killers

...Killers What does it take for someone to end a human life? There are many studies and specialists that center themselves on this question. Is it a lack of self-control? Do murderers have a distorted understanding of morals, ethics, and basic “do’s and don’ts” of traditional society? One of the most common motives for murder is anger and vengeance. In the short stories “A Rose for Emily” and “Killers,” the main characters exhibit similar motives for the murders they commit. Both people were pushed over the edge by the loss of someone close to them. They were pushed to the point of taking a human life. In William Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily,” Emily, a scorned and lonely woman murdered her lover because the thought of being alone was too much to handle. Emily also kept the body of her dead lover locked in a room for forty years. Not only did she kill her lover Homer, she stored his dead body in bed so she could lay with him every night. Why would a woman kill the man she loves? In the story, her lover was about to leave her and he was the only person in Emily’s life. Her controlling father was already dead, she had no family, and the town constantly gossiped about her. When her lover, Homer Barron, was going to leave her she felt betrayed. If he really loved her, why would he leave? Who was he leaving her for? He wanted to be free from her, and the best way to get back at someone who wants their freedom is to trap them. However, Emily took it one step to far.......

Mosquito Trap

...Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region V (Bicol) Schools Division of Albay Bacacay East District Tanagan Elementary School Bacacay [pic] Science Investigatory Project presented to the Panel of Judges of 2015 Division Science Fair September 17, 2015 Camalig North Central School Camalig, Albay Presented by: ALEX BENDO Researcher ROCKY RABINO Research Adviser 2 Abstract Purpose One of the best ways to keep a yard clear of biting mosquitoes is to use a mosquito trap. When set up properly, just one or two of these ingenious devices can kill thousands of mosquitoes and all but wipe out a local population. The style of trap varies by brand, but generally they range from indoor units the size of air purifiers to large units that resemble barbecue grills. Some run on electricity, while others are powered by propane tanks. You can easily reduce the number of mosquitoes on your property with a plastic bottle trap that will attract and kill the mosquitoes. The liquid in each trap will last about two weeks, and then, it can be easily replaced. For increased effectiveness, place multiple traps around your house or property. Procedure Used Get a large 2 liter Coke/Pepsi/Fanta, etc plastic soda bottle. This is the kind that takes a couple of hands to hold onto. Empty the bottle by drinking or draining. Take the cap off and throw away. Just below the point where the neck of the bottle straightens out onto the body of......

Audibility Capacity of Mosquitos

...Audibility Capacity of Mosquitoes Male mosquitoes have a highly developed sense of hearing, though it is much different from that of humans. Male mosquitoes rely on their sense of hearing for breeding purposes. Because of the link between hearing and mating behavior, as well as their impact on human health, the hearing abilities of mosquitoes has been the subject of much study. The limit of mosquito hearing is approximately 2,000 Hertz. Mosquito Hearing Mosquitoes are equipped with two feathery antennae on their head, and they use these to hear. The antennae are attached at the base to circular structures called Johnston’s organs. Mosquitoes engage in an active, metabolically driven hearing; the antennae filaments are tuned, and adjusted to various frequencies and sound levels. For a long time, females were thought to be deaf, but a 2006 study by Gabriella Gibson and Ian Russell, published in “Current Biology,” demonstrated that females can hear. Flight Tones The buzzing sound of mosquitoes is caused by the vibration of their wings, and is termed a flight tone. The flight tone of female mosquitoes is about 400 Hertz, and males have hearing that is tuned selectively to the frequency range of 300 to 400 Hertz. When a male perceives a female’s flight tone, he actively pursues her for mating. Courtship Mosquitoes have exquisite control over their wings, and by changing the rate they beat their wings, they can change the frequency of the buzzing. The study by Gibson......

Mule Killers

...Mule Killers by Lydia Peelle This is a story about unrequited love and its consequences and the change from child to adult. Time changes and life goes on. Whether people accept the changes and might takes advantage of the possibilities given to them, but people make mistakes, especially when they are young and in love. Will it be a bump on the road or will it change the direction they are heading. These are some of the themes that the short story “Mule Killers” is dealing with. Mule Killers is told by a narrator, who is telling the story of his father meeting his mother. It is a son telling about his father telling his son what happened the year he was 18 and the mule killers came. So the story takes place in two times, the present where the father and the son are picking asparagus in the garden and the past where the life of the father was changed for good. It all takes place in a farming area in America at the time where modern machinery reached the farms in Nashville. Tractors started to take over the farm and were therefore setting mules out of work. The narrator’s grandfather “…goes to Nashville and buys two International Harvester tractors for eighteen hundred dollars, cash…” (Page 9, line 13-14) The father is in the sons telling an 18-year-old teenager meaning that he is a little uncertain and confused about growing up, and with small ability to express his feelings towards other people. The uncertainty and suppression of his feelings will later in the short......

Serial Killers

...Serial Killer Psychology By Anna Davis Criminal psychology refers to the study of the mental and behavioral characteristics of people who break laws established by local, state, national or international governments. Some criminal, or forensic, psychologists focus their research on serial killers -- men and women who murder a large number of people over an extended period of time — typically months or years. What constitutes a serial killer is open to interpretation. In the United States, Congress has defined a serial killer as someone who murders a minimum of three or more people. By definition, a cooling-off period separates the murders, making them appear random or unconnected. The victims — often prostitutes, runaways or other vulnerable populations — rarely know their killer and may serve as a symbol that triggers the attack. In other words, a serial killer's motive tends to be psychological, not material. Understanding what goes on — or gets turned off — in a serial killer's mind is the ultimate goal of scientists who specialize in this area of psychology. You might think the field is relatively new, but it dates back to at least the 19th century, when psychologists tried to develop a profile of the mysterious and elusive Jack the Ripper. Antisocial Personality Disorder vs. Psychopathy Mental health professionals use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), developed by the American Psychiatric Association, to understand the......

The Tiger Mosquito

...Asian Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus) Invasive Species according are plants, animals or other organisms that are introduced to a given area outside of their original range and cause harm in their new home.” Since they were brought into this new environment, they have no natural enemies to slow down and limit their reproduction, causing the species to spread uncontrollably. Invasive Species are recognized as one of the leading threats to biodiversity and impose enormous cost to agriculture, forestry, fisheries and other human enterprises as well as human health. As example of invasive specie might be taken Asian Tiger Mosquito. This Asian tiger mosquito is characterized by its distinctive black and white stripe pattern, and while it's native to tropical and subtropical areas of Southeast Asia, scientists believe it has quickly become one of the planet's most widely-distributed animal species, spreading to at least 28 countries outside its native range in the last two decades alone. The tiger mosquito is believed to be spread through — of all things — the international tire trade, as tires stored outside tend to retain rainwater, and provide the ideal breeding and living conditions for the mosquito. The first recorded invasion of the Asian tiger mosquito was in 1985, when a breeding population was found in a used tire yard in Houston, Texas. In only two years, the population had already spread into 17 states. The current species range extends from Texas all along the......
