...po Habit Forming Gregory E. Ward PSY/250 - PSYCHOLOGY OF PERSONALITY June 12, 2012 Jean Porter INTRODUCTION Most often we go through life in aware of our habit or even the cause of them. Doing research for the paper has really opened my eyes to what a true habit is. We a people that learn through observing, other we value rewards. So it goes without saying that there are many habits that I still am not aware of. HABIT Thinking on a habit of mine proved to be more challenging than I originally thought it would be. I don’t have any habits that really stand out I had to ask my family if they’ve noticed any and it was quite difficult for them. But we they came up with some that I wasn’t aware and I feel they might have some merit. One is I never take anything statement with a follow up question or series of questions. So for example is a person were say that they moon control the tides. I would ask, how, why who do you know this. I just can’t accept something as is, if I don’t read it myself I really do know what Im talking about or maybe someone left out information. But if authorities in that field relay the information to me I ok with the data. My brother can tell me one thing about the a train being late and I would research that information online but someone who works for the transit system can say the same thing and I’m fine with it. My next habit is a simpler one whenever I’m thinking, reading or just figure things out I tug on my earlobes. I can honestly...

...UNIX Protection Scheme Cedric Lee POS/355 Scott Stewart March 25, 2013 UNIX Protection Scheme There is an operation system that supports 5,000 users, and the company only wants to allow 4,990 users permission to access one file. In order to have a protection scheme in UNIX, a number of operations need to be performed first in order for this to work. UNIX file management hierarchy is very essential to know in order to understand and devise a plan that will allow this protection scheme to protect the files. Without knowledge of the hierarchy of the file management system within the UNIX operating system, there is no way that the 4,990 will have access to only one file. A file access control scheme will be the design of UNIX operating system. Therefore, user ids and passwords are needed in order to gain access to the system. All users of the UNIX operating system will each be given a user id and a user password. These user ids and passwords will be kept by the assigned users only. The protection of these ids and passwords depend on how well the user protects them. Encryptions and decryptions can also be used when the users are attempting to login. The administrator can put each user into different groups that allow access or deny access to certain files within the operating system. By doing this, there can be control on who can access what file due to the permission given to them by the administrator. The administrator is referred to as the super user......

Since manual inventory consumes a lot of time it would be helpful to build a system that can less the cost with the stated problems, the researchers will develop, design and implement a system called Saint Rita’s College of Balingasag Point of Sales System (SRCB POS). ...Marcus Hacking and Securing a POS System John Fischer Security Research Paper 9/22/2014 For several years we have been using the point of sale (POS) system for payment at major retailers. In the last year there have been several attacks on major retailers POS systems. In this paper, I will focus specifically on the breach of security at Neiman Marcus. In this discussion I will explain how to help secure a POS system. Neiman Marcus was founded in 1907 by Herbert Marcus with his sister, Carrie Marcus Neiman, and her husband A.L. Neiman. Their initial investment was $25,000. The original Neiman Marcus was on the corners of Elm and Murphy streets in Dallas, Texas. In 1913 a fire destroyed the companies building and its entire inventory. A new building was built in 1914 on the corners of Main and Ervay, also in Dallas, Texas. Neiman Marcus’ headquarters is still located in this building. Neiman Marcus is a high end retail store. The target market for Neiman Marcus is the top 2% of the income bracket of the United States, plus the wealthiest people around the world. Neiman Marcus retails high end goods such as clothes, jewelry, cosmetics, home furnishings, antiques and even rare books. Neiman Marcus also has an online store, started in 1999, that offers customers access to high end luxury goods. In 1926 Neiman Marcus first issued their holiday catalog. Many different items have been offered in their holiday catalog, including life size robots and jetliners. ......

The values of reading cannot be overemphasized as he further affirmed. Through reading, according to him, human beings have the tools to transmit knowledge to each succeeding generation. Douglas (2000), in his own case asserted that every child must be fully competent in reading to succeed in school and discharge responsibilities as a citizen in a democratic society. Reading is the foundation of much enjoyment in life and it is closely related to vocational efficiency (Adigun, 1984). These submissions however signaled that lack of reading skill is can be the cause of this educational problem, termed poor study habit. According to Tracy (2008), reading is the only form of entertainment that is also an essential part of life skills.
