...One day I wanted some pie so I wrote a dlovle song and it was about pie. There is so much assistance in the universe around us to help you make your vision a reality. When you are passionate about a particular dream, and you find yourself constantly thinking about it, making it more clear in your mind, examining it, identifying missing pieces, envisioning more detail, and conceptualizing it in crystal-clear focus, you are telling your mind that this dream is actually a true embodiment of reality. Your subconscious doesn't really know the difference anyway, so you may as well dream big. When you bring items out of the chaos, storminess, and haziness of your general thoughts and instead start to force them into your conscious awareness, you begin to build, here in the physical reality, a replicate version of what you were first envisioning in your mind's eye. I know this is true because so many people have manifested their dreams by working diligently on them, honing their skills, and focusing solely on those dreams, then taking action to make them real. In our "dreams come true" section, I collect many versions of how people make their dreams an actionable reality. I myself have consistently been working on a goals list since childhood, as well as a detailed visionboard since 2007. In encourage you to focus on your big dream, every day. Even 10 minutes a day of thinking about how you want to live your life, and making incremental changes, will make it come about quicker......

...1)What messages do the modern shows give you about family life? How do they get these messages across? Shows I usually like, deal with teens with broken families/absent parents. However, they also point out that it's OK to have an unusual kind of family structure. On One Tree Hill, for example, Lucas is being raised by a single mom, and he has a close relationship with his uncle, but his dad isn't completely out of the picture. On a teen show such as iCarly, on Nick, Carly's older brother plays the role of guardian, because her dad is in the Air Force. Her mom is never really spoken of. Family life has changed a great deal during the course of the 20th century. Few people these days have the stereotyped family of a working father, a stay-at-home mother, and several children. There are millions of single parent households in America today, and many mothers work outside the home. There are also millions of blended families that, through divorce and remarriage, consist of a married couple and his, hers, and/or their children. Today, almost any arrangement in which children live with one or more adults who are responsible for meeting their physical and emotional needs can be considered a family. This is one way our culture is different then the culture of fifty years ago. While fifty years ago, young parents learned their parenting skills from their own parents and older siblings, today they often learn from friends, books, the Internet, and classes. Today, on a......

...I love you!! I love you. These famous three words are associated with a very famous computer virus. The virus originated in the Philippines and was created by two young Filipino programmers. This computer virus infected tens of millions of computers and cost over $5.5 billion dollars in damages worldwide. The computers were infected so rapidly that in ten days 50 million computers were infected. The virus was successful at propagating because of several reasons. One of the main reasons was that the virus was sent by email and came from someone you know, as the virus sent itself to the first 50 contacts in Outlook. Since it came from someone that you knew people would open it without any thought. Another reason it was successful was that it depended on some of the vulnerabilities of the Operating System, in this case the file was a VBS script and Microsoft’s scripting engine was on by default. It was also good at confusing computer users because even if you were computer savvy the virus tried to mask its extension in the filename by using .txt in the name. the virus also was a pain because it ran at boot up and also replaced and damaged files in with these extensions. JPG, JPEG, VBS, VBE, JS, JSE, CSS, WSH, SCT, DOC, HTA, MP2, and MP3. It replaced the files with these extensions with copied of itself. . The virus also downloaded a Trojan. This was also a time that no one was worried about computer security so you can imagine the damage this computer virus did. Nowadays......

...in China. Traditional views of homosexuality in China The political ideologies, philosophies, and religions of ancient China regarded homosexual relationships as a normal facet of life, and in some cases, promoted homosexual relationships as exemplary. As in Ancient Rome, homosexual relationships were prevalent in ancient China and were not regarded as morally deviant prior to the influence of foreign cultures. Writings from the Liu Song Dynasty claimed that homosexuality was as common as heterosexuality in the late 3rd century: All the gentlemen and officials esteemed it. All men in the realm followed this fashion to the extent that husbands and wives were estranged. Resentful unmarried women became jealous. Same-sex love in literature Same-gender love can sometimes be difficult to differentiate in Classical Chinese because the pronouns he and she were written with the same character. And like many East and Southeast Asian languages, Chinese does not have grammatical gender. Thus, poems such as Tang Dynasty poems and other Chinese poetry may be read as either heterosexual or homosexual, or neutral in that regard, depending on the reader's desire. In addition, a good deal of ancient Chinese poetry was written by men in the female voice, or persona.[citation needed] Some may have portrayed semi-sexual relationships between teen-aged girls, before they were pulled apart by marriage.Male poets would use the female narrative voice, as a persona, to lament being abandoned by......

...In the story that you are about to read, “The Dog of Pompeii,” one of the main characters, a dog named Bimbo, is unusually restless and agitated with his owner, who is puzzled by the dog’s strange behavior. Hours later, disaster strikes the city of Pompeii when Mt. Vesuvius erupts, burying the entire city under twenty feet of ash, pumice stones, and rubble. Bimbo’s unusual behavior before the volcanic eruption is not so unusual. Since ancient times, there have been many observations of odd animal behaviors before natural disasters have struck. In fact, in 373 bc, historical records indicate that large populations of rats, snakes, and weasels were spotted fleeing the Greek city of Helice before an earthquake devastated that region. Over the centuries, many historical records have documented odd animal behaviors that have preceded natural disasters, including animals leaving their natural habitats, waking from hibernation, behaving wildly or restlessly, and producing vocal sounds without apparent reasons. In recent years, elephants and other wild animals were seen moving inland toward the forests before the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that affected Southeast Asia. Zoo officials also reported that many of the captive animals hid in their enclosed shelters before the tsunami struck. In 2008, thousands of frogs and toads were spotted migrating from their habitats in the Sichuan province of China before an earthquake struck that region. Can animals...

...Dylan, Do you remember that day we first met? I could not stand you. You just kept going on and on about how my favorite football team lacked so much talent. The amount of time we spent arguing that first day we met makes the amount of time we have been together so ironic yet so worth it. All the times we spent together walking whether it was from school or from your house allowed our relationship to develop so strongly. The long hours of phone conversations we shared together taught me a lot about you and your intentions. In spite of all our disagreements and petty fights, we seldom held grudges against each other and managed to find ways to forgive each other and it amazes me that we are still going on strong. Our shared experiences have surely guided me into becoming a better and stronger person. Being the main motivation in my life, helping me become a better basketball player, as well as keeping me away from the negative influences in my life are few of the many reasons as to why I treasure your presence in my life. Motivation, the most important aspect in what many individuals need in their lives, the one feature I lack absolutely none of because you are in my life. You never fail in finding ways to motivate me in my academic work. For example, you make sure that I complete all my homework assignments before I even think about touching an Xbox controller and only you know how addicted I have become to playing Call of Duty. More importantly, I have always......

...I start everything I write with a “I don’t know…” but this time I do. I know what it is that I want. And if I don’t get it then we can’t be what we are! Tintin I want you and I want you to want me the way I want you. I don’t like any bloody friend of yours. I don’t even find him good looking. I pretend so that I can spend time with you when we run out of topics in public. It is not like I was not living until you came along but now that I have met you, I have realized that how incomplete I was without you and how difficult it will be to go on without you. I see a future where we are together always. A place where we fight like siblings, argue like couples and care for each other more than anything in this world. I write when I am sad. And right now I am extremely sad. Behind these eyes I hide a lot of secrets and dark pasts. You know nothing about the life I have lived. I am not the really the happy-go-lucky girl. I am the quite little girl who is scared on the inside just coz I don’t want my heart to be broken again. Before I met you I had a guy in my life not a boyfriend but yes something very close to that. He hit me. I loved him more than anyone. He scattered my heart into a million pieces. I picked up the pieces and loved you. Loved you with whatever I had left. But not anymore, I can’t pretend to not love; I already am in love with you. You took my heart away the very first time you met me....

... “P.S. I Love You” Cindy Sheldon ENG225: Introduction to Film Instructor: Sarah Snook September 7, 2013 “P.S. I Love You” Introduction: For this film critique essay I will be writing about the movie P.S. I Love You (2007). This paper will explore the storytelling, the actors as well as how they act in the film. We will explore the cinematography, editing, sound, and the style and directing for this movie. The last few things we will explore are the impact this film had on society (if any), the genre, what is the best way to analyze this film. When all these aspects of the movie are examined we will see how a script comes to life on the big screen. Storytelling: This film is shot in non-linear form, it starts with the present and throughout the movie we are given glimpses into the past. This story takes place in several different places which include Ireland and New York City. The main female character (Holly) experiences an internal conflict when her husband Gerry passes away from an illness at a very young age. Holly is able to resolve her conflict with help from her friends, family, and her deceased husband. The symbolism in this film is that love can overcome anything including death. For us, the viewers, relates to our human nature. If we are lucky we have all been able to experience the type of love that is portrayed in this film. That love that we never see coming, but hits us like a “ton of bricks”. The kind of love most of us only get to......

...a part of that family on the sidelines than be with his school friends in the stands. The last player, Josh Tschida, is a 17 year old cross-country runner from Stillwater. In every other sport he wasn’t good enough, but in cross-country, he just liked being out there running and it’s just you without anyone pressuring you to do something. I think that these are great stories to hear about. These student-athletes have overcome many obstacles, and in some cases, keeping going even though others told them to quit. Being able to stick with it like they did is a pretty amazing thing I think. I’m not sure I could’ve done the same thing. Finding that motivation to come back to practice every day even though they wouldn’t play in the games would be hard, but these athletes found that motivation and fought through the hurt to find the positive side of the situation. I believe that these stories apply to any high school sports team out there, but some more than others. Here at Rice Lake, and for the teams that I have heavily observed, there has not been a lot of bench-warmers. I bet there are teams at are school that have many players that don’t play often, but the players still stay on the team. I know some people that have quit their sport because they think that they aren’t good enough, but other than being like Josh Tschida, they do not find another sport to be a part of....

...children, neighbors, colleagues — and even doctors at a nearby hospital. She has told investigators she was mocked as “fatty” in school and closed herself up at the farm with her father, who accepted her as she was. In court on Thursday, the prosecutor asked if she enjoyed being pregnant with her two daughters, Emiline, 28, and Virginie, 27, both present at the hearing. Cottrez replied, “Yes, for Emiline I liked it, but only for Emiline.” Dozens of forensic and psychiatric experts, police investigators and witnesses, including her husband, daughters and siblings, will take the stand to help understand the incomprehensible, and perhaps to help the defendant, who sobbed repeatedly during the first day’s hearing, to open up. A withdrawn, secretive nurse’s aide, Cottrez told investigators she was raped by her father, first when she was 8 and repeatedly through her childhood and teenage years, according to judicial documents. She later entered a long, incestuous relationship with him as an adult, including after she married, and said that it became consenting — and even said she was in love with her father more than she was with her husband. Her father died in 2007. One of the first witnesses called to the stand Thursday was Leonard Meriaux, who bought the Cottrez family house and discovered the first corpse in 2010. From one interrogation to another, the police went from surprise to stupor. Cottrez first admitted killing the two infants found in the garden. Then she......
