Unit 3 Marketing

Task:
My task for this unit is to produce a marketing strategy for a new or existing product or service.

Product:
The product that I will be promoting trough my marketing campaign is a new drink. This drink is a new flavour that I have created for the Coca Cola Company. This new drink is an additional flavour to Coca Cola, the flavour is orange, and as well as it is tasty, and it is also a good source of Vitamin C, good for the skin, bones and joints.

This new drink will be known as Coca Cola Crush. In order for the marketing strategy to be complete, I will be providing Primary Research, which basically research that I will do myself; this could consist of surveys and questionnaires. I will also be providing Secondary Research, which is research that has already been done and published, but I will be looking into it as well for the relevancy of my product, the research could come from places like newspapers, articles, magazines, books, and especially the internet. It is a very cheap form of research because the data already exists.

For my Primary Research I will be carrying out a questionnaire, this questionnaire will provide detail into things like, my target audience, what the general public wants, the pricing etc. for my secondary research I will be looking into Coca Cola itself, and see the marketing methods in terms of promotion and advertising, I will be looking at competitors, and similar products already…...

Evaluation - Food Technology Gcse

...Evaluation: I chose to make a meal that contained Calcium and Vitamin D. In order to accomplish this, I made two dishes. The first, Fish in Cheese Sauce, and the second, Pistachio and Chocolate Mousse with fruit salad in Tuile Baskets. Before I made these two dishes, I researched about Calcium and Vitamin D and found out why these were important in the body and what they helped prevent. This helped me gain more insight and helped me know how important they were. Then, I found out a list of foods that contained these nutrient sin high quantities. With this, I was able to choose what dishes I was going to make. Before I chose these dishes however, using Food for a PC, I was able to know how much Calcium and Vitamin D these dishes contained. Comparing the figures to the DRVs, I was able to know what needed to be adjusted. This meant that I changed the fish (originally Cod) to Herring which had more Calcium in it. Even with this, I had not provided the entire amount of calcium needed. Also, I researched a couple of recipes that I could do. Another part of my planning was that I created a sample sensory analysis sheet that I could use for my sensory testing. This helped because with the six words I had chosen, I knew what I needed to focus on more (making it soft, savoury, etc). After all of this, using the recipe I had chosen from the internet, I made a time plan that showed how long I should take to do things. This helped me because it told me what I needed to do and how long......

How Does Steinbeck Present the Ranch Community in of Mice and Men? Value of Work and Working Men in of Mice and Men for Gcse and Igcse

...How does Steinbeck present the ranch community in Of Mice and Men? Value of Work and Working Men in Of Mice and Men for GCSE and IGCSE Steinbeck presents the ranch community with a startling degree of realism, dramatising a condition created by the Great Depression of migrant labourers, forced into work communities, with no families. This is summarized in the key quotation at the start of the novel where George says ‘guys like us are the loneliest guys in the world.’ It’s a large scale farm with permanent and temporary workers, then the boss and boss’ son, and wife - who all have a higher status. The men put in ‘crops’ but never reap what they sow. The American Dream is to be self-reliant and self-sufficient - to own land - not to be isolated, but to be empowered, to be secure and to be able to ‘have fren’s over’. Though the men are forced into community on the ranch, there’s little friendship or kindness because of the poor conditions and poor job security. The community is presented as being intolerant of any kind of weakness - is racist and sexist - and often cruel. Here, there’s little sense of humanity: man is a machine whose purpose is to work. If one breaks down, you can always get another one. IDEA ONE The ranch is at the heart of the novel, framed by Chapters One and Six which are set in the same Edenic natural landscape in the ‘Gabilan hills’. This is the natural, god-given beauty of America - ‘gold’ and ‘warm’ - precious. It has both a mythical and a vividly......

English Gcse Texting

...Explore the view that texting can be very creative forms of language use. Introduction In this piece of work, I plan to explore the view that texting can be very creative forms of language use. I shall explore into arguments both for and against being a creative form of language use by looking at specific language features used in texts and consider the effects these have on the language we use. Data collected from a variety of texts to and from members in my class will help form the basis of my investigation and will help me explore the view that texting can be a very creative forms of language use. Paragraph 1 Friedhelm Hillebrand who lived in Germany decided in 1985 that 160 characters were enough for a text message. In 1989 Edward Lantz sent the first text message through a Motorola beeper (pager). The first commercial SMS message was sent over the Vodafone network in Britain on 3 December 1992, from Neil Papworth of the Sema Group using a computer to Richard Jarvis of Vodafone. The message read "Merry Christmas". The first SMS typed on a mobile phone is claimed to have been sent by Riku Pihkonen, an engineer student at Nokia, in 1993. Text messaging, or texting, is the act of typing and sending a brief, electronic message between two or more mobile phones or fixed or portable devices over a phone network. The term originally referred to messages sent using the Short Message Service (SMS); it has grown to include messages containing image, video, and sound......

...742 Latham Road Dear Mr. Sidhu, Our travel and tourism class wants you to organise a special end of year trip. We all have voted for various destinations. The highest numbers of votes were for Spain. I’m sure that you already know that this special school trip will increase our knowledge. The price for this trip would be a reasonable price. We can use the euro star to travel to Spain because each ticket only costs £25. This is the cheapest and fastest way to reach our destination. Parents would send their children because it costs less than a ski trip because they cost over £500. The school trip will turnaround our class to ensure that we get the best results in the UK. We may be the school in the UK achieving a pass rate more than 95%; this can make the head teacher proud of you because you’re making everyone reach there maximum potential. Statistics show that the schools that rarely take their students on trips fail. We have records of more than 30% are failing the subject because they aren’t inspired. Will you make our dream come true? I’m sure that you want us to visit Spain because most of our class haven’t been to a foreign country. This is one and only lifetime chance to go on this school trip, because next year we are all going to different colleges. We will never forget this trip because we will......

Learning - Gcse

...Collaborative learning involves a group of people working together to solve a problem, completing a task or creating a product. One part of collaborative learning is Positive Interdependence this is students working together to accomplish a task in which success depends on participation by each person. Team members basically have to rely on one another to achieve the goal set. If one team member fails then everyone suffers the consequences. All of us experienced some kind of difficulty when working together in a group, whether by just physical proximity, common needs and goals, or simply by the need of individuals to establish interpersonal relationships. Study the concept, nature, development and importance to organisations of groups and teams may become a full-time job due to its subjectivity and difference views of it. Another thing is Individual Accountability, where all students in a group are held accountable for doing their share of the work and for knowing their bit of the task. In one of my experiences in a group I learnt that groups can be rewarding to the individual because an individual can actually learn from other members of the group. I joined a group in which our tutor told us to build a stand up support for a sonic toy and we were told to make it from paper. We all had our ideas on how we wanted the support to stand up, but instead of pursuing personal goals we brought our ideas together and we came up with a better idea and I also learnt things I did......

Explore the Ways Sympathy/Dislike Is Created for Curley's Wife. Gcse Essay

...English: GCSE Controlled Assessment – Of Mice and Men Heroes and Villains: Explore the ways Sympathy and/or Dislike of a character is created in Of Mice and Men. Even before plunging into profound depths of Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, it is unequivocal that the novel is a microcosm of American life in the 1930s. As a result of the Great Depression, the setting is abundant with hardships which immensely mould the reader’s ambivalent feelings towards the most dominant female character in this book: Curley’s Wife. Steinbeck’s depiction of this flirtacious but “lonely” temptress has the reader leaping from heartbreaking sympathy to nurturing an intense abhorrence for Curley’s Wife. In the very first few moments that the novel introduces Curley’s Wife, she is immediatley condemned to the reader’s dislike because the author depicts her character as a threat to not just George and Lennie, but their aspirations to “live off the fatta the land”. The author intends to establish Curley’s Wife by labelling her to be an ominous threat from the very beginning as “the rectangle of sunshine was cut off” by her mere first appearance. Steinbeck’s particular use of the word “sunshine” is symbolic of hope which is derived from the main theme in this novel – the American Dream, or rather a paradise that has resulted in false hope flourishing in their hearts. This is in correlation to the “sunshine” which is evidently referring to George and Lennie’s vision of owning a farm. Furthermore, the...

...How does Sherriff make this conversation between Osborne and Trotter particularly moving and significant? Sherriff makes this conversation between Osborne and Trotter particularly moving and significant in many different ways. Firstly, the way that Trotter and Osborne converse about home makes this passage very emotional. Trotter says how he “had a decent little grass plot in front, with flower-borders – geraniums, lobelia, and calceolaria – you know, red, white, and blue.” This extract is particularly emotional because it plays a stark contrast to the lives the two of them live now and the surroundings they are in, making them miss home even more. As well as this, the colour’s red, white and blue represent the Union Flag, enforcing the idea of home on to the characters and the reader. Talking about home with each other also offers Trotter and Osborne a form of escapism from the war, which also makes this passage particularly emotional. Another way that Sherriff makes this passage poignant and key is by touching on how Raleigh is coming to terms with how Stanhope has become a changed man during the war. At home, Raleigh viewed Stanhope as his hero but now he does not feel this way. Sherriff shows this by using the stage directions ‘with lowered head’ when Raleigh answers to Trotters’ question, “uncanny, wasn’t it Raleigh?” with regards to how Stanhope didn’t seem to know who Trotter was. This stage direction clearly suggests that Raleigh is very sad when he hears......

I am required to investigate an existing small business and to prepare a report which assesses the quality of its customer’s service. I am also required to consider how best the quality of customer service can be improved. Company Background The local business I have chosen is an Asian restaurant called ‘Kebabish’. The business has been running since 2006 but the owners have been changing since then. Generally the business is not too big, only 8 employees work there but with different shifts, 4 employees from 11:00am-6:00pm and 4 employees 6:00pm-01:00am, they also have one break during their shift which 30 minutes long. Roughly business has 1000-1500 customers on weekly bases according to the owner (Appendix A). The restaurant mostly offer Asian food and comes under mass industrial market. Prices are also not too high, at average £0-7. The types of products they offer are mostly Pakistani food as Naan Bread, Biryani, and Chicken Curry etc. Their target market is not specific (Appendix E); they target every kind of...

FERMENATION is where things respire anaerobically. What is the job of an enzyme? * To speed up chemical reactions, as they are proteins. What needs to be constant for enzymes to work? * Temperature,( however if too high the enzymes de-natures) What is the optimum PH? * Where the enzyme is most active as that is where they work their best, however if the PH is too low or high it affects the bonds holding the enzymes together therefore, changing the shape of the active site… the enzyme denatures. What is the function of a DNA molecule? * It contains the genetic code for enzymes involved in respiration The functions of plants & animal cells are: * Mitochondria are where enzymes are, where aerobic respiration reactions take place. * Cytoplasm is a gel-like substance where anaerobic respiration takes place as some controlled enzyme reactions take place here. * Cell membrane is what controls what goes in and out of the cell as it acts like a barrier allowing water &......

Drama Theory Gcse Example

...QUESTION 1 01.) As an actor, the piece my group and I devised and performed was based on the issue of bystanders. The style of our piece was non-naturalistic and included devices such as freeze-frames. We chose to use freeze-frames to pinpoint key moments within the piece, highlighting the importance of these moments to our audience. Our piece was based on the ‘British bakeoff” in which one of our contestants cheated (me being the cheat) and somebody saw and nobody speaks up about it. The piece portrayed the importance of speaking up and not being a bystander. We also used lighting, for example a spotlight on the key moments to further highlight the important moments in the performance. The genre of out performance was Theatre in Education, and we performed it to a target audience of student’s aged 12-13, boys and girls. Therefore, we chose to set our piece in modern day as we thought it was easy for out target audience to relate to. The fact they could relate to the performance allowed them to be more involved which enhanced the performance overall. We showed this through our costume, wearing modern day clothing such as Juicy tracksuits and bright skater skirts. The performance stage was a thrust stage, creating a more intimate environment in which the whole audience was involved. 02.) When deciding how to perform our piece, we thought it would be effective to make it a comical performance as it would be beneficial as it would engage our audience whilst portraying a......

Physics-Heat Transfer for Gcse

...Heat Transfer Conduction When we place one end of an iron rod in a fire, the other end also heats up after a while. We say heat has been conducted along the rod from the hot end. Conduction is the process by which heat is transmitted through a medium from one particle to another. The heat is transmitted from the hot to the cold end. Most metals are good thermal conductors. A metal surface feels colder than a cement surface although they are both at the same temperature. This is because e metal conducts heat away form the hand more quickly than cement which is a poor conductor. Generally, substances which are liquids at ordinary temperatures are poor conductors. One exception is mercury which is a good conductor. Mercury is a metal in the liquid state at room temperature and pressure. The thermal conductivity of gases is even lower than that of liquids. How conduction works Conduction takes place when heat energy is transferred from one particle to the next. When one end of a rod is heated, the particles at this end of the rod gain energy and vibrate more vigorously. These particles collide with their less energetic neighbours. Some of their energy is transferred to these neighbouring particles which in turn gain kinetic energy. In this way, heat energy is passed along the rod by the vibrating particles. Conduction of heat in metals is far better than in other solids. The ‘free’ electrons in a metal are responsible for its superior thermal conductivity....

Approaches to Teaching Gcse Maths

...1. How my thinking about teaching GCSE maths re-sits has changed during the course. My thinking about teaching GCSE maths re-sits has changed in that I’m more focused on improving the learning of my students. Simplistically, before it may have been a case of “What do they need to know?” and then relaying what the student needs to know for that particular subject, in a clear and concise manner, which may have been “got” by most students, but then they would have forgot the method shortly afterwards when it came to a formative or a summative assessment. Now I’m more determined to help students learn in a way that is going to be enjoyable to them and help them remember what they need to for the exam. This will involve doing more kinaesthetic and visual activities as a lot of learners learn by doing. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME)  The course has introduced me to Hodder Education’s range of books called ‘Making Sense of Maths’ for KS3 and KS4 (http://www.hoddereducation.co.uk/makingsenseofmaths). Mr Gough, a maths teacher and one of the authors of the aforementioned book(s) states the following: “My experience of teaching GCSE Foundation Tier is that by the time they get to KS4 they’ve already covered most of the content and they’re having the same content repeated in the same way that they found difficult in the first place so my experience of using this approach is that it seemed very different to them and it reinvigorated their interest in maths and they......
